Eight handcrafted collections — built by our chef, not by an algorithm. Open the app and there is already something good to cook.

Editor's note

“A recipe app that opens to a blank search bar already lost the dinner.”

We start every release by cooking. Eight collections live today — by time of day, by appetite, by what people are actually saving. New recipes drop every week, with more collections close behind.

Section III · Four Pillars

One app.
Four moves.

Discover, Cook, Refine, Track — the loop a real cook actually does. The whole thing sits in your pocket and doesn't ask you to learn a new vocabulary.

Pillar01

Discover

the saving

Illustration of a social cooking video becoming structured recipe cards

Save anything. We'll do the typing.

Paste a TikTok link, drop a YouTube URL, scan a cookbook page, or just talk into your phone. AI extracts ingredients, steps, timers, photos, and nutrition while you do something better.

Includes

  • 01TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Substack, blogs
  • 02Photo of a printed page or handwritten card
  • 03Plain text or a 30-second voice memo
  • 04Batch import up to five links at once
Pillar02

Cook

the doing

Illustration of voice-guided cooking with timers and recipe steps

Hands free. Eyes on the pan.

Big text, photos, and step-by-step guidance designed to be read across the kitchen. Voice handles every action your hands can't — and the screen never sleeps mid-step.

Includes

  • 01“Next step” · “Set timer 10 minutes” · “Show ingredients”
  • 02Multiple concurrent timers with haptic alerts
  • 03Ask anything: “Can I substitute olive oil?”
  • 04Resumes exactly where you left off, even after a phone call
Pillar03

Refine

the editing

Illustration of recipe refinement and nutrition tracking

“It was too salty.” That's all you have to say.

After cooking, give the recipe one honest sentence of feedback. The app proposes precise edits to ingredients, steps, and timers — and you approve them line by line.

Includes

  • 01Natural language post-cook feedback
  • 02AI proposes ingredient, step, and timer changes
  • 03Accept or skip each modification individually
  • 04Quantities, timers, and macros stay mathematically consistent
Pillar04

Track

the eating

Illustration of chef recipe collections in a tabbed recipe box

Macros, photographed.

Snap a plate and we estimate the macros. Cooked a BetterChef recipe? Log it as eaten in one tap. Your week sees itself. No spreadsheets, no scales, no excuses.

Includes

  • 01Photo-based meal logging with AI macro estimation
  • 02One-tap logging from any cooked recipe
  • 03Daily calories and macros against your goals
  • 04Six months of trends, all on-device fast
Section IV — Cook Mode(Lights down. Stove on.)

The phone stays on the counter.
You stay in the cook.

Cook Mode is the part of BetterChef nobody else has built. Voice-driven. Multi-timer. Always-awake. The screen reads itself across the kitchen — and listens when your hands are wet.

“Can I sub heavy cream with coconut milk in this?”

BetterChef

Yes — full-fat coconut milk works. It'll lean a touch sweeter, so cut the sugar by a teaspoon and add a pinch of salt at the end. Want me to update the recipe accordingly?

Always awake

The screen never sleeps mid-step.

Ambient brightness, large type, big tap targets. Read it across the room with sticky hands.

Pick up where you left

Phone call? Doorbell? You don't lose the cook.

The session persists even if you swipe the app away. Walk back in, tap once, keep going.

Section V · The Bill
